Captain of my Soul

Day 51,

In the last few days, I have been focusing on who God wants me to be and how He wants to use me.  He is showing me the many ways He is using my life for ministry which includes: this blog, writing music, teaching youth, preaching, and living His word daily.  In the past couple days the Lord has laid lyrics on my heart for 4 songs or rather poems at this point.  I would like to share one of them with you.  It is called, "Captain of my Soul"

Floating through life, my boat ebbs and flows
I'm looking for you Lord, so far from my soul
Oh elusive love.  Are you around the next bend?
Can I know you dear Lord?  Show me the way in

As I throw out my paddle my life yours to lead
I'm floating along will you fulfill all my needs

Excitement rises in my heart  

I feel your hand as I'm gently towed

Jesus may we never be apart

As you lead me down this narrow river road

May I never be lead astray
Laying back I relinquish all control
Father, I long to follow your way
I'm directed by the captain of my soul




I wish you many blessings today and that you would rest in Jesus today.  FInd your peace, your love, and your joy in Him today.  Let Him lead and have control of everything in this life.  Jesus wants to be the captain of your soul today.  Will you let Him take over control?
